FAQ
Questions
What does strict mode do?
With strict mode on, a Lock session can't be stopped once it starts. It runs until the time is up. Strict mode is off by default.
Which browsers does it work with?
Website rules work in Chrome-based browsers and Safari. When a tab's domain matches a rule, including subdomains, jik closes that tab. Firefox isn't supported.
What permissions does jik need?
To close website tabs, jik needs browser control (Automation) permission. It checks this before you start and shows you where to turn it on.
Is there a Windows or phone version?
Not yet. jik is macOS only for now. Windows, iOS and Android are coming later.
Does jik send my data anywhere?
No. There's no account or server. Everything stays on your Mac.
